MV Console    

Our custom-designed piece for the Mercer Vine VR Viewing Room at their Los Angeles Office. Where you can tour luxury real estate from the comfort of their chic new viewing room.

This console was designed with Emmy Pickett, Creative Director at Mercer Vine, 

The MV Console was a collaboration with Emmy Pickett, Creative Director at Mercer Vine. She was looking for us to create a purpose-built piece meant to fit into the chic and intimate VR viewing room. We had very specific dimensions to work with, both in fitting the physical space of the room and in housing the VR components. We also equipped the cabinetry with additional storage for their podcasting equipment and client amenities.  

After the physical requirements were considered, we set to making this piece both a stunning way to fulfill their needs and to enhance the viewer’s experience. The VR room is dimly lit and luxurious for the most discerning of clientele to comfortably explore luxury homes on virtual tours. We tried to reflect that same elegance and sumptuousness in creating the MV Console. It is fabricated with a tube frame, powder-coated a soft matte black. The ‘back wall’ of the open shelving is spanned with a section of polished brass rungs. Nestled into the frame is a cantilevered single door cabinet with high gloss grey finish over red oak. The console also features our signature custom machined brass legs and button detail overlaid on hand-tanned black leather trim.

We think it’s richness and simplicity, with striking pops of gloss and brass make for a beautiful integration into the space at Mercer Vine.

The bungalow bar

This is a very special project to us. 

This custom bar was built to live in this lovely mid-century modern home. Resting against original mahogany wood panels, the rich walnut cabinetry has enough contrast to stand out without distracting. 

We designed custom vintage purse clasp inspired door pulls in brass that run the vertical length of the two right side cabinets. The leftmost cabinet door was built with slots to let the beautiful bottles peek through and catch the light.  

The Bungalow Bar sports a honed Calacatta marble top and Post & Gleam's signature brass double taper legs.

Palm Springs 'L' Bar - steel and mahogany        

Nothing quite like making a bar for an amazing home in Palm Springs. You just know it's going to see a lot of great times, delicious concoctions, and amazing caftans.

Palm Springs' inherently swanky aesthetic and the home's crisp modern styling inspired the long, lean lines of steel with flush-mounted mahogany. The wood was chosen to match the huge mahogany wall panels that frame the fireplace in the great room which openly faces the bar.

Saddlemans       

These two pieces were a wonderful commission for Saddlemans - purveyors of premier hides. They wanted striking, large-as-life frames, showcasing their inherent beauty. We wanted to treat each hide with deep respect and create an environment of art and beauty to surround each.  

We approached the project with a play on opposites, light or dark, soft or hard, languid or taut.

Trevor created the white frame by powder-coating six inch aluminum channel secured with custom matching brackets and large visible bolt heads. Courtney knotted stunning macramé ropes that are not just visually pleasing, but fully functional as well. These macramé ropes stretch and secure the hide within the frame, keeping the spirit and integrity of traditional practices close at hand. 

The black steel frame was acid-etched for richness of tone on the wide, four inch steel channel. Meant to be hung in the center of a room, this piece was created to be two-sided, with a different stunning hide visible from each point of view. 

Delicate to the eye, but strong and steady, airplane grade braided steel cable was utilized along with the traditional tanning clamps to create a pleasing symmetry. 

Both pieces have eyebolts installed to allow them to be easily suspended for a remarkable display.

Arrow Turntable Console

It's your turntable's favorite place to hang out. Art books fit, novels luxuriate, and your stuff has never felt more at home. 

Inspired by our Arrow Collection, we were asked to create a solution to our client's dream of a shelving system that would showcase their turntable while housing a plethora of records. Also, they wanted to be able to store and display their collection of over-sized art books that do not fit nicely on standard shelves. Extra wide and extra deep, the steel supports the console with no intermediate structure needed, leaving a clean, open look to the pieces overall architecture.

Circulate Shelf

Breathe-ability for your myriad electronic devices. Fresh air makes the world go 'round. Pile on the gadgets, they'll stay happy and cool. 

This piece was created for a client who wanted something similar to our Arrow Collection, but with a solution for storing electronics that run hot and require a bit of air flow to avoid over-heating. The perf-ed steel shelving was the perfect balance of aesthetics and functionality.
